The OG Doom is still my favourite. The lore for Doom IS insane though. Regardless of which version.

That creation would've gone SO WELL if that Doctor wanted to do "Puttin' On The Ritz"
(Young Frankenstein (1974) if you don't know what I'm referencing)
It's pronounced Fronkensteen!
No mention of SGI computers? No "so much for realism?" No Blanka from Street Fighter rip-off?! No CREATE A STORY WHERE LARA GETS BREAST CANCER!?
Jokes aside (I know the goal was to create a "coherent review" and those would've just been...even worse here than in the reviews) this made me laugh. That's kind of all I have to say.
This entire series is fantastic.
It's cool to get a drama of queer identity with entirely internal conflict and doesn't result in a heartbreak.
Thanks! I know a few folks would have been mad at me if I didn’t give them a happy ending, so I got all the sadness I wanted from the series crammed into the 3rd episode instead
Commenting because I got an email from Google Gemini...which told me "thank you for signing up" and I hadn't. I've just rectified the issue and...yeah.
I fucking despise the "normy" internet.
To be honest, at the moment I'm dealing with grief of being a fan of something which DID just see me as easy cash and/or a fan to leech labor off of. While it might not be 100% healthy, watching this HAS helped me come to terms with it. I'm also glad that while Manon was told this point blank, it was never described as "HER fault for being a fan."
I've never played TF2 but otherwise, I DO think this video is a good way to balance "being a fan" with "criticizing what you love", especially when it's a slimy as shit company at the front of it.
I'll give you credit - when I first saw Tim Curry say those beautiful words, I immediately thought how suited it was to a cartoon. So...well played.
In my view, as a Pac-Man fan, this is how to add personality and character to the game sprites. Silent protagonists with a simple and clear to read design and body language. I also liked the friendship between Ms Pacman and Clyde and how well that blossomed.
I also liked some of the new mechanics. I remember playing Pacman:CE as a kid and being floored at how well they reinvented Pacman for the then modern era (hello 19 year old game! Still my favourite in the series though) and this all felt PERFECTLY in keeping with that idea.
Great stuff.
Outright saying it - I work in a restaurant. If Ramsay showed up at my house to "Kitchen Nightmares" it, I think I'd probably slit his throat.
To be honest...the actual films Hammer were making in 1974 that were Dracula related were getting ridiculous (unless you think then modern counter culture, espionage and a Kung Fu film can be forced into a Dracula movie seamlessly). So...well played this person's father's kid fanfiction. You did better than the movies.
Jokes aside, I actually quite liked this. It reminds me of Axe Cop and other such "professional makes art from a kid's ideas" media in that it has fun but manages to be faithful enough that it's simultaneously funny AND respectful.
For the most part, I'm just here for the fun of it. Gonna upload shit I create, enjoy stuff others create...not much else to say.
