Full disclosure, I've known about this video for over a year - the only reason I'm reviewing it now is it's officially the 69th video I've favourited on this platform.

Outright saying it - I work in a restaurant. If Ramsay showed up at my house to "Kitchen Nightmares" it, I think I'd probably slit his throat.
To be honest...the actual films Hammer were making in 1974 that were Dracula related were getting ridiculous (unless you think then modern counter culture, espionage and a Kung Fu film can be forced into a Dracula movie seamlessly). So...well played this person's father's kid fanfiction. You did better than the movies.
Jokes aside, I actually quite liked this. It reminds me of Axe Cop and other such "professional makes art from a kid's ideas" media in that it has fun but manages to be faithful enough that it's simultaneously funny AND respectful.
I don't know if this was intentional but every time a cutscene loaded, I was given a message that my browser was near crashing. Given the "I'm WATCHING YOU!" cliches...that actually made it kind of effective so...yay for shit hardware if that was unintentional.
As for the rest of it...I see it as being a Pico skinned, jumpscare version of that Dinosaur Chrome game. Not bad, just kind of "the same." I also don't know much about the nitty gritty of Pico lore (I'm relatively new to the site) so I also felt like maybe getting further context might help.
I decided to give this another review.
After figuring out I could restart an attempt by pressing any of the controls again, I found it easier to keep the energy of "I swear I could do that better if I had one more attempt."
I DO still get optical illusions after playing for too long, but...wanting to play a game for a long time isn't a hindrance on the game itself.
This is probably my favourite Henry Stickmin game.
I'm just glad in this one I can just go back to any prior decision with a click instead of having to replay almost an entire scenario JUST to get one thing different.
Glad to see this up.
thanks for checking it out!
Nice work. I look forward to seeing a new Deepstates
shooting for november 2nd friend
I prefer the jukebox (it just has a better look for "Cog Help Us All") but like both.
It's definitely better than any album cover I've ever made (which were all for my own albums...so this being better goes without saying). I love the approach taken and how well it fits with the music.
When I was brainstorming the jukebox for my second attempt, I thought about putting a couple gears in the design, but decided to take them out before showing it to Quarl. She said the jukebox looked angry and mentioned βCog help us allβ being a possible title, so then I decided I should put the gears back in. :)
For the most part, I'm just here for the fun of it. Gonna upload shit I create, enjoy stuff others create...not much else to say.
